CHAMPAGNE corks popped at a Worcester business when regular customers and supporters of New Street dress agency Exchange and Smart were invited to mark its 20th anniversary with a glass of fizz.

The shop sells high quality nearly-new clothes, shoes, handbags and jewellery and splits the profit 50/50 with the items' original owners.

Owner Sally Blundell said: “I set up in a tiny shop in New Street in 1994 and within a year I moved a stone’s throw away into larger premises and I’ve been here ever since.”

The shop only accepts quality items less than two years old and features designers such as Nicole Farhi and Paul Smith and popular High Street brands like Boden, Gap and Hobbs.

MrsBlundell added: "I tell people to regard their wardrobe as an investment and if you are not wearing it sell it. It means we have always got lovely clothes in. People come in and don’t realise we are a dress agency. They think we are a shop selling new clothes. It has been very successful over the years. We have ridden out the recession and we are still going very well. We are very friendly and people like the help we offer. We are also very truthful. I’d rather lose a sale than send someone home with something that isn’t right."
