EVESHAM Leisure Centre in Abbey Road has been shortlisted in the hunt to find the UK’s best gym, putting it in the top one per cent of gyms in the country.

Gym marketplace www.PayasUgym.com – which allows users to find and buy discounted gym and class passes – works with more than a third of UK gyms, giving it the most comprehensive overview of the British fitness industry. Members are able to rate every gym using a one to five star rating. The best-rated gyms, including Evesham Leisure Centre, have been shortlisted into five regions according to this member feedback.

The spectacular gym at Evesham consists of more than 100 pieces of state of the art Technogym equipment made up of various resistance and cardiovascular machines, including treadmills, cross trainers, steppers and much more. In addition, there is a dedicated free weights area.

Kay McBride, Leisure Centre manager at Evesham, said: “We’re very proud to be nominated for this award for best gym in the Midlands and South West, it really is a great facility and would not have been possible without the investment and support from Wychavon District Council.”

The shortlisted gyms can now ask for their members’ support in their bid to win the prize in the #BestGym competition’s inaugural year. Voting is a one-click process and members that share their vote on social media using the #BestGym hashtag go into a draw to win three month’s free gym membership.

Members must vote on the relevant regional page by Friday, December 5 through http://www.payasugym.com/best-gym. The winner, based on the number of votes, will be announced on Tuesday, December 9 on the PayasUgym.com website and social media channels.
