THE former Phones 4U store in Bridge Street, Evesham has reopened as Vodafone Evesham, saving six jobs in the town.
The deal is part of Vodafone’s £100m nationwide expansion with the Evesham business being one of the 139 Phones 4U stores Vodafone acquired in September.
A Vodafone spokesperson said: "We are thrilled to have a place in the centre of Evesham, so come down and see us at the store for help or advice or to have a chat about our latest services. The Evesham store will open with the Vodafone services our customers love, from expert advice to transferring contacts and photos with Vodafone Red Box, so customers can leave the store ready to go. Customers will also be able to click and collect, using the store as the place to pick up online purchases."
The employees working at the store are a mix of those who had previously worked for Phones 4U and for Vodafone, each of whom has undertaken Vodafone’s specialist customer services training. Vodafone has taken on 850 former Phones 4U employees as part of its intention to create 1,400 retail jobs across the UK this year.
