STAFF at law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys have been getting into the spirit of Christmas by donating non-perishable food items to support Worcester foodbank.

Led by the paralegal and trainee group, the food-collection drive took place across the firm’s offices in Worcester, Cheltenham, Hereford and Ross-on-Wye, where staff were encouraged to make donations to help families who are struggling financially. Donations including tinned beans, soups and vegetables, as well as essentials such as rice, pasta, teabags, coffee, sugar and cereals have all been piled high.

Shahedur Rohman, chair of Harrison Clark Rickerbys’ paralegal and trainee group, said; “Thirteen million people live below the poverty line in the UK. Worcester foodbank provides a

minimum of three days emergency food and support to local people in crisis so as a firm we were particularly keen to help support this worthy cause and help make life a little easier for those less fortunate than ourselves. On behalf of the PT group, I would like to thank all of our staff who made such generous donations.”

Dan Godfrey, a trainee solicitor who led the campaign in Worcester, added; “Last year food banks in the UK helped to feed more than 150,000 people, so we know our donations will make a real difference. We feel that it is very important that we give back to the communities within which we operate so hopefully our donations will go some way to helping those in need in Worcestershire this Christmas."
