THERE will be wagging tails at a Worcestershire dog rescue centre over the Festive Season after a pet food firm came up trumps.

Forest Dog Rescue in Kidderminster has received a Christmas delivery of 130 dog’s dinners from leading UK pet food brand Webbox as part of its initiative to deliver 1000 meals to homeless dogs throughout the UK before December 25.

Julie Butcher, marketing manager at Webbox, said: "We have a fantastic Christmas collection which includes a natural festive dinner tray with turkey and after some heart-warming entries from the Kidderminster community, we just had to get some across to Forest Dog Rescue. We want to thank each and every person who selflessly took time out to nominate this deserving home and ultimately supported us in making this special delivery.”

Forest Dog Rescue is based in the village of Far Forest and currently houses 29 homeless dogs. Emma Shaffrey, kennel manager, added: " As a charity, we obviously heavily rely on kind donations like this; and the fact we can give the dogs a truly nutritious and wholesome Christmas dinner this year makes a huge difference.”
