A GREEN entrepreneur who appeared on Dragons’ Den is to showcase his invention at the Green Home Show in Kidderminster.

Malcolm Victory, who featured in the BBC programme last year, will be taking part in the event at Kidderminster Town Hall on Saturday, January 24. The designer from Malvern is to demonstrate his invention, Rotaire Dryline, a waterproof cover for rotating washing lines, which means washing can be dried outside on wet days.

Mr Victory said: "People all over the country, in Ireland and on the continent are waking up to the fact that you can dry your clothes outdoors in the rain using the Dryline. It does what it says: it keep the clothes dry."

There will be more than 20 companies taking part in the environmental event, which has been organised by Wyre Forest District Council. It will offer visitors the chance to get free energy saving advice and see the latest green gadgets. There are goodie bags for the first 100 visitors.

Cllr Anne Hingley, Wyre Forest District Council’s cabinet member for health, well-being and housing added: "It is fantastic to see local entrepreneurs offering their expertise and continuing to find ways to tackle climate change. 2015 is the year to start thinking green and this event is the perfect opportunity to make that change.”

The event runs from 11am until 3pm. There is more information about the exhibitors at the Green Home Show on the Council’s website www.wyreforestdc.gov.uk/greenhomeshow.
