A WORCESTERSHIRE charity shop is appealing for more volunteers so it can expand its work.

The Kidderminster British Heart Foundation furniture and electrical store opened six months ago and has proved highly successful selling a wide range of pre-owned, new, and vintage items.

BHF area manager David Palmer said: “I would like to say a big thank-you to our staff, volunteers and all our loyal customers who have supported the store over the past six months. Thanks to your generous donations and support BHF researchers are able to continue their relentless search for a breakthrough to put an end to the suffering caused by heart disease.

"We’re hoping that the people of Kidderminster will continue to support us, and we urge them to continue donating unwanted household items that will help save lives. We’re also appealing to any local people who have some spare time to consider volunteering at the Kidderminster store – we have roles to suit everyone. Just pop into the store or give us a call to find out more.”

It sells a huge range of furniture such as suites, sofas, chairs, dining sets, beds and wardrobes plus an array of electrical items including TVs, Hi-Fis, washing machines, fridges and dishwashers.
