HEALTHCARE recruitment agency Safehands, has expanded its Worcester branch, creating five new jobs with more in the pipeline.

The new branch is in Upper Tything, opposite the Royal Grammar School, Worcester, having relocated from Cactus House in Forgate Street. The £30k investment comes in the wake of a high demand for skilled temporary healthcare workers in the area.

“We have established a reputation as a company who provide quality staff to all aspects of the nursing and care industry, so much so that since opening our branch in Worcester 12 months ago, we have placed 100 temporary workers from Worcestershire. Moving to larger premises in a prime location within the city was the next obvious step as part of our expansion plan,” said director Katie Armstrong, who set up the business with partners Richard East and James Gibbs in 2013.

Manager Paige Kerry added: "We make it a priority to personalise our services by profiling both client and candidate to ensure that we get the right fit when it comes to placing a person in a temporary or permanent position. We believe that this, along with the ongoing training and development of our candidates, has gone a long way towards the success of our business."

The independent privately owned company, which employs 20 staff, now operates out of five branches in Cheltenham, Oxford, Hereford, Worcester and in Shropshire.
