TRAINING and recruitment experts have helped staff at a food supplier improve their CVs and go for promotions as part of a special Wellbeing Week.

Specialists from eResponse worked with fellow Redditch business Blue Earth Foods, a supplier to Marks & Spencer, as part of the retail giant’s week of activities aimed at supporting good health and improving general wellness.

eResponse, which helps train Blue Earth’s team through various safety-related qualifications, joined the firm at its East Moons Moat offices to help with interview techniques and CV writing with the aim of helping staff focus on their future careers

Louise Ward, business development executive for eResponse Training, said: “We were able to assist staff at Blue Earth with ways to improve their prospects for promotion and other positions by having the best possible CVs and coaching them for interviews. It was a great opportunity to help develop staff by lending our expertise to an initiative that clearly showed how the company values and cares about the wellbeing of workers at all levels. We were delighted to be involved.”

Kellie Emery, HR officer at Blue Earth Foods, added: “Wellbeing Week is a Marks & Spencer led supplier initiative to promote good health, self-confidence and life direction amongst supply chain employees. Thanks to the advice and support from eResponse our employees are now in the best possible position to go for promotions as and when they arise, as well as feeling more confident in their current roles and personal lives. Just sitting down to think about a CV and to understand your own strengths can work wonders for self-confidence and, by extension, wellbeing.”
