IT was a muddy day at the office for staff at NatWest in Worcester when they took part in an endurance race in the grounds of Eastnor Castle near Ledbury.
The 12 strong banking team raised more than £4,200 to help St Richard’s Hospice by competing in the Mud Runner Challenge, a six mile run around the Eastnor estate, interspersed at regular intervals by challenging obstacles. The colleagues, who are used to working closely together in the office, made good use of their team cohesion as well as their physical stamina and endurance to successfully navigate the uncompromising course designed to test the limits of off-road vehicles.
They chose St Richard’s as the charity they wanted to support as many have family connections with the hospice and know people who have been cared for or have worked at the hospice.
John Meehan, director of Worcester Commercial office, Natwest, said: “We were delighted to be able to support such a vital charity to the local community and are aiming to take part in another event next year.”
