THIS year's Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership annual conference is set to be the best yet.

More than 430 delegates have registered for this year’s event at the Chateau Impney, Droitwich, Friday, November 13 and registrations closed three weeks before the day with a waiting list now operating. The conference will start at 8am and be hosted by BBC Midlands Today’s main presenter Mary Rhodes. It builds on the success of last year, which saw 350 delegates attend.

Delegates who have secured their place, which includes businesses of all sectors and sizes as well as partner organisations, will hear from high calibre speakers and experts offering contributions through interactive facilitated discussions, presentations and speeches. Keynote speeches will be delivered by business minister Sajid Javid and Irene Graham of the Scale-Up Institute and executive director of business finance at the British Bankers Association.

The conference will also hear first-hand about recent progress and priorities for the future for Worcestershire’s long-term prosperity with Worcestershire found to be the third fastest growing economy in recent years only following London and Oxfordshire. Details will be provided regarding local business support to enable everyone to be a part of future economic growth.

Gary Woodman, executive director of Worcestershire LEP, said: “We have received an incredible response for the #WLEP15 Annual Conference with more than 430 registrations from businesses and partners of all sectors and sizes and are fully-subscribed three weeks ahead of the event. I would like to thank our confirmed conference sponsors: Hewett Recruitment, Great Western Railway, OGL Computer, Santander Corporate & Commercial and the Business Growth Service. If you are interested in the last few remaining sponsorship opportunities available, please get in touch at the earliest opportunity and we look forward to seeing many Worcestershire businesses at the event to discuss and shape our vision for the future of Worcestershire’s growth.”

Those who were unable to register in time for the #WLEP15 Annual Conference are being reminded that the key points and messages from the conference will be covered on the Worcestershire LEP’s Twitter account, @WorcsLEP, and on the LEP website www.wlep.co.uk where a link to the dedicated conference website will also allow interested parties to join the waiting list.
