THERE'S a new man steering the team at delivery company ArrowXL’s Worcester hub in Blackpole.

Anthony O’Neill has been appointed general manager of the branch of the UK’s leading two man home delivery specialist, which delivers more than 16,000 products to more than 8,000 homes every day. The company focuses on large, fragile and bulky items up to 120kg, which are delivered by two man teams into the customer’s home and into their room of choice.

Mr O’Neill said: “This is a new and challenging move for me. It’s a great opportunity to bring my specialist knowledge of process management and quality standards to the role, and to the home delivery industry. The aim of ArrowXL is to delight our clients by making their customers feel special. My role is to continue to develop the culture to ensure our clients and customers are at the heart of everything we do.”

Helping him towards that goal is the fact that he is a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. Six Sigma is the methodology that helps professionals work towards zero defects in processes and procedures. This objective supports ArrowXL’s continuous improvement programme towards operational excellence.

Around 300 staff are based at Arrow XL’s Worcester hub, which handles around 40 per cent of the company’s total volume, delivering around 20,000 orders per week to the South West, Wales, the Midlands and East Anglia regions.

Mr O'Neill's move builds on his specialist expertise in supply chain management, manufacturing and process and quality improvement. Previously, he was general manager for Arrk Europe in Nuneaton, which makes specialist components for Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover and Rolls Royce.
