AWARD winning events and communications company drp has completed its pledge to complete 35 charity and community projects in its 35th year two months ahead of schedule.

Dale Parmenter, group chief executive of the Hartlebury-based firm, had announced at the beginning of 2015 that team members from across the business would take on the task marking its 35th anniversary with a series of challenges. These ranged from abseiling the ArcelorMittal tower for charity Springboard UK and hosting and sponsoring the YSS Young Carer’s Conference to regularly preparing and serving breakfast at a local homeless shelter.

Some of the larger projects included the great rickshaw rally, which saw the drpteam use nothing but pedal power for 130 miles on a refurbished rickshaw from the Covent Garden office to the main studios in Worcestershire, raising more than £4,000 for charity Meetings Industry Meeting Needs. The Ergo challenge marked number 30 of the 35th CSR projects in which the drpteam rowed the mammoth distance of more than million metres in 24 hours raising £1,400 for MIMN.

Mr Parmenter said: "This is such a huge achievement for the entire team, the task was certainly not an easy one but to mark our 35th year by hopefully making a difference has been fantastic. The projects the team have delivered are close to our hearts and CSR has been and will continue to be at the forefront of the business.”
