TIME is running out for training providers, employers, schools and apprentices to enter the Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2016 before the June 30 deadline.

Hosted by Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership and Worcestershire County Council, the Awards will be presented by Tim Campbell, business owner and winner of the first series of BBC’s The Apprentice, at an event at West Midland Safari Park on November 17.

The Awards will recognise some of the county’s most successful apprentices, schools, training providers and apprentice employers in 12 categories including school of the year, three sections of apprentice of the year, overall apprentice of the year, three sections of apprentice employer of the year, newcomer apprentice of the year, training provider of the year and apprentice employer of the year.

Gary Woodman, chief executive of the Worcestershire LEP, said: “The Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards are always fantastic for recognising the excellence of our local apprenticeship workforce and I would urge everyone to nominate or enter as an apprentice, apprentice employer, training provider or school before June 30.”

Cllr Dr Ken Pollock, cabinet member with responsibility for economy, skills and infrastructure at Worcestershire County Council, added: “We expect to see many more high-quality nominations in anticipation for this year’s Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards and we look forward to being able to celebrate the achievements of the county’s apprentices on November 17 at the awards ceremony.”
