RELATE, the counselling charity, has been given a grant from the Midcounties Co-operative Community Fund towards its work in Worcestershire.

It was one of nine groups chosen to receive help from the fund and will use it to invest in new computer equipment and software. Relate trustee Chris Holloway represented the charity at the grant presentation event in Kidderminster.

Chief executive of Relate Worcestershire Maxine Sharman said: “This grant is a real boost to us as a charity. Updating and enhancing our outdated equipment will enable us to provide a smoother, more professional approach to our clients. It reflects the quality of our counselling services and our ability to meet their requirements.”

Relate Worcestershire is based in Castle Street, Worcester and offers a counselling service in outposts throughout the county. Experts in relationship counselling, Relate helps clients who want to rebuild their relationships or are considering separation or divorce. Counselling takes place in a safe environment where everyone can have their say and be listened to.
