A £3,000 DONATION in memory of Dan Cambridge, partner with Worcester law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys, has been made to St Richard’s Hospice by his widow and former colleagues, who took part in the hospice’s Paddle, Plod, Pedal challenge earlier this year.

The 45-mile challenge was completed by The Blister Sisters, a team of nine from across the firm, raising £2,000 in the process. Supplemented by a donation of £1,000 donated by those who attended Mr Cambridge's funeral, the funds will now help support hospice patients from across the county. Mr Cambridge, who was 36 and died in January after a long illness, had been with HCR since 2006 and had been a partner in the insolvency team since 2010. The firm has also named one of its main conference rooms in his honour.

Dawn Oliver, a colleague and friend of the Cambridge family, said: “I was very glad to be part of the Blister Sisters team to raise money for the hospice. They do excellent work, supporting both patients and their families through very tough times. Dan would have been delighted to know that other people would benefit in this way. He was always generous in spirit and keen to help others. His death was a terrible loss, to Gwyn and their son Sam, and to all who knew him here, but the donations, and the naming of the room at 105 High St, Worcester, are fitting commemorations to him.”
