BUSINESSES are set to benefit from a series of workshops designed to update them on employment law legislation and human resource issues.

The one-day sessions, to be held on Thursday, November 3 and in March next year, will be hosted by experts from law firm mfg Solicitors in partnership with Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.

Led by mfg’s employment and HR experts Sally Morris, Darryll Thomas and Samantha Haller-Evans, the interactive workshops will help businesses stay on the right side of legislation when it comes to issues such as the national living wage, holiday pay calculations, the working time directive and absence procedures. The programme will also include advice on recruitment strategies, handling sensitive personnel issues and managing inappropriate behaviour.

The sessions will also tackle some best practice examples when it comes to employee relations and complex HR issues. They are workshops we’re delighted to be hosting with the team at the Chamber of Commerce. They are always popular with business leaders as they go away prepared for the future and confident they can deal with a number of employment or personnel issues.”
