ST Richard's Hospice, which supports more than 2,500 patients and their loved ones in the county each year, is looking for "superheroes" to leap into action as corporate partners.

Its fundraising team wants to encourage firms to come forward and work with St Richard’s in partnership as their chosen charity of the year. The hospice needs to raise £8.2m a year to run all its services and relies on donations for 75 per cent of its income.

Fundraising manager Rachel Jones explained: “Our care is free to patients and their loved ones but costs to provide. Those who help us raise funds to continue our care are ‘superheroes’ in our eyes as they often go to great lengths to make a difference to people when they most need it.

“Whether making a straight forward donation, sponsoring an event; taking on a team-building challenge, attending an event, completing a volunteering project or choosing St Richard’s as the charity of the year, we can work with firms all the way to ensure success for all involved. We always have a lot of fun along the way too.”

St Richard’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with life-limiting illnesses and supports their families. To find out more about becoming a St Richard’s superhero contact Rachel Jones at St Richard’s Hospice rjones@strichards.org.uk 01905 763963.
