WORCESTER estate agency Humberts has changed its name to Halls, following an agreement with one of the West Midlands oldest valuers and surveyors.
“After due deliberation, we have decided to step away from the Humberts brand, which we feel has suffered considerably due to the financial position of the Humberts Group,” said Anthony Champion, partner in the Worcester business.
“As a result, an agreement has been reached for us to trade under Halls. We plan to re-brand with immediate effect.”
The Worcester branch of Humberts was acquired in June by its local directors, who bought it out following a period of financial uncertainly with Humberts Group as a whole.
“Since then, we have given consideration as to whether to continue to trade as Humberts or whether to rebrand,”
Mr Champion said.
“Halls is already a strong regional business predominantly based in Shropshire with an office in Kidderminster serving the north west of the county.
“The move introduces our established commercial division to the Halls brand, which is already well known for residential, rural, professional, agricultural and fine art services.
“Our commercial services include sales, lettings, management, valuations, rating and landlord and tenant.
“The aim is to expand this service across the whole firm. We shall continue, in Worcester, to offer our multi-discipline services as before, providing residential, commercial, rural, professional, land and new homes services.”
THE middle of winter with its bitter cold snaps, long dark nights, festive fretfulness, nasty bugs and seasonal over-indulgence is not a healthy time of year for many of us.

AS a welcome home from the war, it was a touch on the genteel side. After all, when you’d been dodging Hitler’s bombs and bullets for a few years, you could probably have thought of better things to do on your first night back on civvie street than wander down the social club and listen to a bloke playing a violin.
