FORMER national cyclocross champion Chris Wreghitt has turned his talent into a business.

Together with fellow cycling enthusiast Ron Moseley he has set up the Green Bike Company, which specialises in selling quality second-hand bikes through its website thegreenbikecompany. co.uk Mr Wreghitt, of Powick, Worcester, raced professionally a few years ago and was five times National Cyclocross Champion.

“The idea to set up the company came from the fact that many friends were wanting to get back into cycling, but initially were put off from investing in something new,” he said. “At the same time many active cyclists wanting to upgrade their existing bike, were dissuaded from doing so, because they found dealers wouldn’t accept their bike as a trade-in and there was no other obvious easy way to sell on a second-hand bike.” The company now helps to ‘recycle’ second-hand bikes, providing both a service to both the buyer and the seller.
