THE entire workforce of a Malvern factory was treated to a celebration lunch after the company received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in international trade.
Pulsar Process Management based at the Enigma Commercial Centre in Sandy’s Road is a leader in non-contacting ultrasonic level measurement equipment.
Founded in 1997, it has sales in 29 countries, a wholly-owned subsidiary in the US and its expansion continues with the recent appointment of an international sales manager for the Far East.
Against a background of difficult trading conditions all over the world, Pulsar has increased export business in percentage terms by 150 per cent in five years.
The company has also grown by more then 20 per cent in the last year.
The Queen’s Award was presented by Michael Brinton, the Lord Lieutenant of Worcestershire.
Pulsar’s managing director Keith Beard said: “We’re absolutely delighted by this recognition of what Pulsar has achieved.
“This is a highly competitive and very technical industry.
“We have a dynamic approach to product development and a global outlook, both of which have kept us ahead of our competitors and this award is a great accolade for the entire team.”
