Butcher a cut above the rest

A YOUNG Worcester butcher’s sizzling sausages have taken him to the finals of a taste competition.

More than 50 butchers entered the 2010 West Midlands Tastiest Sausage Competition in the hope of being crowned champion.

Tristan Meier, above, who works at H Dayus Family Butchers in St John’s, is now in with a chance of winning that title after he made it through the highly contested regional Sizzle Off.

Mr Meier impressed judges with a pork, honey and mustard sausage and will now compete in the grand final in Birmingham.
