Responsible approach pays off for Ringway

A WORCESTER-based company has received national recognition for its approach to business, its employees and the environment.

Ringway, of London Road, which specialises in highway maintenance, has achieved the prestigious bronze band in Business in the Community’s corporate responsibility index – the UK’s leading voluntary benchmark of corporate responsibility.

Ringway managing director Scott Wardrop said: “This is the first time we have entered the CR index so I am delighted to receive the recognition via a bronze award. We are committed to corporate responsibility; this is demonstrated through our field activities and our desire to share our progress through our annual CSR report.”

Stephen Howard, chief executive of Business in the Community, said: “I congratulate Ringway on achieving bronze in the 2009 Business in the Community corporate responsibility index.
