A WORCESTER schoolteacher has been awarded the accolade Top Temporary Worker by a specialist recruiting group.
Hays Education of Trinity Passage, Worcester, chose Rebecca Tattum in recognition of her work as a qualified primary teacher.
Lisa Green, office manager at Hays Education, said: “We are pleased to be able to recognise the vital role that temporary staff play in educational institutions. Temporary work offers independence, flexibility, variety and the opportunity to meet new people. It also allows employers to be flexible with their staffing and adapt to the challenging environment.”
Mrs Tattum, who works as a supply teacher at a number of schools in Worcestershire, said: “I am really pleased to receive this award and with all the work I have been offered. I am really looking forward to the new term in September.”
Elizabeth Spencer, headteacher of Badsey First School, near Evesham, said: “Mrs Tattum is an excellent teacher. She has been flexible with meeting the needs of the school at this very busy time of the year. She has shown great ability to work across the curriculum and continues to be excellent in delivering one-to-one tuition.”
