BUSINESSES are being encouraged to kickstart their new year by attending a free Make 2012 Count event.
Mike Ashton, chief executive of Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce, will be presenting an array of opportunities and ideas to help make 2012 count for local businesses and will launch the chamber’s new website with website developers Nexus Creative at the event at the University of Worcester’s new Riverside centre in Hylton Road, Worcester, from 9.30am on Wednesday.
Nexus will be sharing its expertise and giving business tips on making the most of online marketing.
Also presenting will be Mick Donovan, head of institute of sport at the university, who will be introducing the new Worcester Arena and Riverside venue and explaining how it benefits local businesses.
Mr Ashton said: “2011 was a tough year for business but despite that we have seen some inspirational stories. We want 2012 to be a good year for businesses in the area and what better way to kick things off than a free networking opportunity with more than 100 professionals.
“It’s also an opportunity to see the new facilities available in the city centre and celebrate the launch of our new website.”
To book for the event, log onto to hwchamber.co.uk, call the marketing team on 0845 6411641 or e-mail websupport@hwchamber .co.uk
