AN exciting job opportunity has opened up for students in Worcestershire and Herefordshire in the shape of the annual Business Game, which challenges them to take on the problems of business and solve real-life business and engineering problems.

Last year's tournament was the most successful ever, and this year sixth-form students will compete again at Sixways, home of the Worcester Warriors, on March 2.

This year’s game, supported by Warriors’ chairman Cecil Duckworth and backed by major local employers including Bosch, features engineering, addressing the urgent need to attract bright young minds into the field, to seize opportunities and rebuild strengths in creating and designing products.

Organiser Celia Adams said: “Top local professional and engineering firms will be talent spotting for future employees at the game. This is a great opportunity to bring together local businesses and schools. The Business Game connects them to opportunities with major local businesses.

“We are looking for entrants from schools, and students doing A-levels in business studies, maths, physics or design and technology.

“It will be a great day out for students and staff and a chance to meet local employers, who are talent-spotting with opportunities for work experience, apprenticeships and future opportunities.”

Teams of six will compete in the Business Game, which has been designed by Worcester Bosch and international accountants KPMG and is free to enter for schools.
