Farm is a haven for independent firms

A FARM just outside Worcester is backing your Worcester News's Buy Local campaign.

Top Barn Farm is a haven for independent traders.

The site, spread over 500 acres of land at Holt Heath, is home to a family-run farm, a harvest shop, butcher’s, an activity centre, fishing lakes and a range of independent businesses.

The farm, established and still run by the Harper family, cultivates cereal, sugar beet, vegetables and fruit and rears a pedigree herd of South Devon beef cattle and 500 breeding ewes.

There is an eclectic group of local businesses based at Top Farm, including engineers Truelight Services, building firm VA Williams, DCC Supplies model railway supplier, Equestrian and Country Leisure Limited and many more.

Barry Hodgetts owns SB Print. The design and print service produces banners and posters for organisations all over the UK, including your Worcester News. Just last month Mr Hodgetts established a second company, SB Promotions, printing slogans and logos on ceramics, beer mats and more.

He said: “It’s very diverse up here. There’s the lighting engineer, a television editor, a direct mail and marketing company. You can get sandwiches and homemade cakes. And that's all within 40 yards of us.”

Other Top Barn companies backing our Buy Local campaign include Blueprint Management Services, Subtech, Martley Electrical and ADH Motors.

For more information about the firms, call 01905 620386 or visit topbarn.co.uk.
