POLICE are trying to crack down on a graffiti problem that is plaguing Droitwich town centre.

Between Wednesday, December 27 and Wednesday, January 10, a number of public and private buildings were targeted.

Officers investigating the incidents are highlighting them in the hope that someone will come forward with information.

A spokesman said: "While graffiti may, to some people, seem a minor matter, in terms of the law it can be treated as both criminal damage and a public disorder - both carrying the possibility of a prison term."

He emphasised that the incidents may not all be linked, as some were focused on public and private buildings and others on vehicles.

Materials and methods - including spray-paint and daubed emulsion - also differed.

Anyone with information about the following incidents is asked to call police on 08457 444888 and quote the relevant reference number.
