Ruddock eyes Jones

WARRIORS chief Mike Ruddock has admitted the Six-ways club are interested in signing scrum-half Ben Jones from Doncaster Knights.

Worcester head coach Clive Griffiths, who was the Don-caster director of rugby before linking up with Ruddock, has recommended the former Northampton Saints half-back as a potential new recruit.

Ruddock said: "Ben is certainly a player we're looking at, but we haven't signed him and nothing has been done on that front. There are a lot of good young players who we are looking at - it's that time of year.

"Ben is certainly playing well for Doncaster and Clive made me aware of his quality.

"Whoever we get we want to make sure they fit into our team culture.

"So there is no need to rush into the process. When we see the right guy, we'll certainly have a look at them."

Meanwhile, Warriors' Premiership clash with Wasps at Adams Parks (3pm) has been brought forward from April 13 to Saturday, April 12.
