THE University of Worcester’s Student Christian Movement Society raised almost £700 for charity in the past academic year.
The society, which includes a number of third year students who have now completed their academic studies, held two cake sales raising £357.14 for Christian Aid.
They also raised a further £332.30 for Worcester Foodbank by getting sponsored to live on £1 a day for three days.
University Chaplain, Rev Fiona Haworth, said: "They are only a small society with seven or eight active members, so to raise £689.44 for charity is very impressive."
