A GROUP of Year 7 students from Bishop Perowne CE College returned to their former school to offer tips and advice on making the step up to secondary school.
They visited Perdiswell Primary to share their thoughts to Year 5 pupils who will soon be making the same move.
The college students spoke to the Perdiswell pupils about finding their way around, building friendship groups and taking part in teambuilding days.
Mark Pollard, headteacher at Bishop Perowne, said: "In Year 5, students will start thinking about the transition from primary education to secondary education and it’s only natural that some will have slight worries.
"We’ve found that by taking Year 7 students back to their primary school, the Year 5 students get to hear first hand about the transition and how they don’t need to be concerned.
“I was very proud of our students – they spoke extremely confidently and engaged really well with the Perdiswell Primary School pupils."
