TWO parts enthusiasm, one part determination and a sprinkling of inspiration created the perfect recipe as students stirred up a storm in the final of the Inclusive Skills Cookery Competition.

Seven students from Heart of Worcestershire College and Hereward College went head to head in baking and decorating a cake from scratch, to a given recipe at the Great Chocolate Cake Off competition.

After baking their cakes, the students were given the chance to unleash their culinary talents and create an array of mouth-watering cakes.

The cakes were judged on presentation, composition, colour, proportions, flavour, texture and the names of each bake.

Heart of Worcestershire College's Charlotte O’Keeffe was announced the overall winner, followed by Amber Pemberton and Levi Roantree, both of Herewood College.

Miss O’Keeffe said: "The competition was very exciting and I enjoyed decorating the cake. I also enjoyed meeting new people from other colleges."
