PUPILS have been praised for their selfless actions after swapping their school reward points for money to charity.

Students at Pershore High School earn ePraise points for excellent work, commitment and participation.

They can choose to spend the points by using them to buy items from a shop but some pupils have decided to swap them for money to go to charity.

Thanks to their kind-hearted actions, £100 will go to Teenage Cancer Trust; £200 for the Lubuto Clinic in Ndola, Zambia; £100 to New Hope; £100 to Pershore Food Bank and £100 to Cancer Research UK.

Clive Corbett, the school's headteacher, said: "Well done to the students who have chosen to donate their ePraise points to charity."
