Hanbury date offers plenty of class choice for competitors

HORSE riders of all abilities will find a choice of classes from best turned out to working hunter, showjumping from 2’3”

to 3’6” and dressage from walk and trot to novice at Worcester & District Riding Club’s open show tomorrow at Hanbury.

The event at Park Hall Farm in Hollowfields Road, held by kind permission of the Heath family, is open to all adult riders and to under-17s who are members of either a Pony Club or riding club branch.

The classes will be split into junior and senior sections where entries are sufficient, with rosettes to sixth place for each section.

Every class and the showing and working hunter championships have been sponsored by businesses from Worcester, Droitwich, Redditch, Bromsgrove, Studley, Evesham, Kidderminster and Tewkesbury, with prizes donated by Allen’s Hill Competition and Livery Yard and Countrywide Farmers.

Every class at the show is a qualifier for the Midland Association of Riding Clubs Championships, to be held at Rodbaston at the end of August.

The show begins with clear round jumping at 9am, followed by showing and working hunter at 9.30 and showjumping at 11am. The pick and mix dressage will run as long as there is demand.

There will be catering on site, a paramedic in attendance, an on-site farrier and professional photographers providing prints to take away.
