FAMILY favourite Wind in the Willows will be performed in all its eccentric glory on a Worcestershire farm to help raise funds for a farming charity.
The Powick-based Farmers’ Overseas Action Group supports small scale agricultural, health and education projects in Uganda to enable local communities to improve their quality of life and this summer one of its main events will be a production of the Kenneth Grahame classic at Crutch Farm, Elmbridge, Droitwich on Sunday, June 14.
Performed by touring company Heartbreak Productions, it is described as “open air theatre at its best” and features the usual characters Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger.
The show, which will be under cover if wet, starts at 3pm, although the farmhouse gardens are open from 1.30pm for picnics. Ticket price of £15 includes tea and cakes in the interval. Tickets from 01905 830745. It will help if you can bring your own folding chair.
