KANYE West aka Yeezus.

The name either makes you recoil in disgust or break out a rap, "I ain't saying she a gold-digger".... ahem.

For the majority of Glastonbury goers though it seems to be the earlier option.

That became very clear when the controversial hip hop artist and Kim Kardashian's beau was announced as the headline act on the Pyramid stage on June 27.

Less than a day after the revelation one person decided to start an online petition against Kanye performing at the popular event.

Neil Lonsdale took to change.org and thousands joined him.

His petition, titled 'Cancel Kanye West's headline slot and get a rock band' has already been very well supported.

On it Lonsdale writes: "Kanye West is an insult to music fans all over the world. We spend hundreds of pounds to attend glasto, and by doing so, expect a certain level of entertainment. Kanye has been very outspoken on his views on music....he should listen to his own advice and pass his headline slot on to someone deserving! Lets prevent this musical injustice now!"

And this train of thought continued as people called for Beck to replace Kanye in the slot.

Are the words karma ringing in the air?

Well, perhaps this is comeuppance for the times Kanye interrupted first Taylor Swift and then Beck as they collected various music awards to state Beyonce should in act be the winner (but I'm sure Lonsdale won't have any choice but to let Kanye finish).

Besides the irony of the similarity between the Lonsdale rant, I mean petition, and the embarrassing behaviour by the music star, the story simply highlights just how much the rapper polarises people.

And let's be honest it's not the first time Glastonbury has got people talking - sorry to be so cynical - by choosing someone a bit different to headline a stage, take Metallica, Dolly Parton, and Kanye's mates Jay Z and Beyonce.

In the end all were welcomed and enjoyed.

As I'm sure Kanye - or at least his award winning music - will be.

And as someone who has enjoyed a performance by the rapper at a festival, many years ago, I would advise anyone going to Glastonbury not to miss it.
