FOR all you fashionconscious shoppers who are watching the pennies, today is a chance to update your wardrobe at a good price.
That’s because Peacocks is opening a new branch in Friary Walk, CrownGate, Worcester, bringing 24 jobs to the city.
The store will be full of the latest catwalk looks for ladies, men and children offered at fantastic value.
Peacocks is celebrating this season with a return to colour clashing, arriving in the form of a fabulous range of patterned leggings, paint-effect clothing and no-nonsense neons to add some glare and flair to your wardrobe.
Some of the key pieces in Worcester’s new store, which opens at 9am today, include the Oscar De Le Renta-inspired rose print prom (£14), white multi-buckle sky-high platforms (£18) and vibrant “Set Me Free” slogan tee (£10).
Cat helps to invent a new gel
PEOPLE with skin prone to annoying break-outs can now thank the boss of one of Worcester’s leading stores for a remedy.
Cat Wilson, the manager of Lush in High Street, was invited to the company’s factory in Poole, Dorset, where she and other branch managers were divided into teams to create and produce their own products. Cat was part of the skincare team.
The company had been inspired to introduce the day after working with BBC1’s The Apprentice as part of their natural beauty product challenge. Lush invited their own apprentices to their factory to encourage them to invent their own fresh, natural and hand-made products.
Cat’s skincare team’s spot treatment gel, Grease Lightning, was the overall winning product and has been launched in Lush shops nationwide.
The various groups pooled their collective experience, product knowledge and awareness of their customers’ demands to produce a whole raft of unique and imaginative products. Watch out for others being launched throughout the year.
Grease Lightning, which costs £4.95, is a small, subtle, portable spot zapper to get rid of those spots and blemishes at grease lightning speed.
The thyme, tea tree and rosemary antibacterial gel dries invisibly and you can actually feel the witch hazel shrivelling up potentially volcanic spots.
The aloe vera and lavender both work to calm and soothe any redness. Dab on with a dry finger.

1. New stores opening in Worcester
2. Music festival season has officially started
3. Promise of sunny summer
4. Reading all about Cannes Film Festival
5. Wimbledon only weeks away
What we’re hating
1. Shops and business continue to close
2. Festival tickets putting bank balance in the red
3. Rainy days making summer seem so far away
4. Waiting for the latest blockbuster
5. Remembering we can't play tennis...
