BENEFIT in Worcester is celebrating its first birthday and to celebrate, your Worcester News is offering its fashion-page fans a chance to give themselves a treat. The beauty counter in Boots on High Street, Worcester, reached one on Monday and to celebrate, it’s offering each reader who takes in one of our vouchers a free mini make-upper. Each person who takes part will not only walk away looking gorgeous, but will also have the opportunity to enter a free prizedraw to win £100 of products. People can be pampered by having their eyes or lips made beautiful between Monday and Sunday if they take a voucher. Booking is advisable. Lydia Repton, Benefit account manager for Worcester, said it was an exciting time. “I can’t believe it’s already been a year that we have been in Worcester. It is a very bright counter but don’t let that put you off. This is a chance for me to give something back to my customers and welcome new ones to try what Benefit has to offer. “We aim to have a bit of fun and want to reach all ages with this. “It isn’t just for youngsters to enjoy, it’s for anyone between nine and 99, and I can’t wait to see you all,” she said.
International stylish fashion brand is the newest addition to city centre
AS if we needed a reason to celebrate – Worcester is getting another new store. Today, international fashion brand Gerry Weber is opening a store in CrownGate Shopping Centre and is offering customers special giveaways to celebrate its arrival. Shoppers can pick up a popular and stylish Gerry Weber branded red bag, big enough for taking to the beach this summer, free for anyone visiting the store in Chapel Walk next to House of Fraser, during the first three days of trading. In addition, every customer who makes a purchase between Saturday and Monday can pick from an array of exclusive Gerry Weber gifts, including lip gloss, make-up bags, purses, key rings and even chocolate bars. The new Worcester store is the seventh Gerry Weber store to open in the UK, offering a range of stylish clothes for fashionconscious women. Gerry Weber spokesman David Fenton said: “We are very excited about opening a store in CrownGate and are looking forward to dressing the county’s most stylish women. “Our main collection features stylish suits, separate and casualwear, and the Gerry Weber Edition collection consists of knitwear, shirts, trousers and outdoor jackets, plus we have a wide variety of accessories, including some great belts and scarves.” CrownGate centre manager Erica Burlace said: “We are delighted to welcome Gerry Weber to CrownGate and feel privileged to have secured this distinctive international fashion brand. “We feel it will offer excellent opportunities for our fashionconscious female shoppers looking for stylish, high-quality clothing and accessories.”
There’s even more great news for shoppers
THERE’S more good news for shoppers with the official opening of White Stuff at Cathedral Plaza in Worcester’s High Street. Last Friday the store celebrated its launch and shoppers were treated to freebie gifts, nibbles and drinks all day at the opening. Fund-raisers from St Richard’s Hospice were at the event as the shop will be supporting the hospice with fund-raising events all year round. David Abramson, retail director, said: “White Stuff Worcester has got off to a flying start, with recordbreaking sales figures even before our big opening party. We’ve been delighted with the response from local shoppers, who have been coming to the shop in their droves.”
MJ albums fly off the shelves
MICHAEL Jackson albums have been flying off the shelves at HMV in CrownGate Shopping Centre, Worcester, since news of the music star’s death. The store has completely sold out of all Michael Jackson albums. HMV assistant manager Russ Mather said: “It was incredible – customers were coming in to snap up any MJ albums – we had his Number Ones album in the sale for £4 so more than 100 sold out in two days – customers couldn’t get enough.”
