Rescue remedies will help your skin survive

PROTECT your skin from the winter chill with the help of a Worcester shop.

Snow, ice and bitter winds can play havoc with your skin and although we have already had plenty of all three this January, it looks like February may be very similar.

So if you are suffering from flaking skin, a peeling nose and chapped lips, The Body Shop in CrownGate Shopping Centre has some skincare saviours to transform and protect your complexion.

Hemp hand protector, £12, is one of the store’s bestsellers and is renowned for its healing, soothing properties. Hemp has an unusually high concentration of essential fatty acids that help to repair the skin’s moisture barrier, helping to restore moisture, smoothness and suppleness and keeping those hands flake-free. From the same range, hemp lip protector, £4, does as good a job on your lips, keeping your pout kissable.

Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, protects the skin against ageing environmental factors, so the vitamin E protective SPF 15 moisture lotion, £10, is just the thing for parched winter skin. It also contains shea butter and wheatgerm oil for added moisturising properties.

For an added moisture injection, try the vitamin E nourishing night cream, £10, so that you can wake up refreshed and ready to go.

The Body Shop currently has a three for two promotion on a range of winter skincare products, so there’s even more reason to visit and help your skin survive the winter weather.

A new chapter in many ways

A NEW range of plus size clothing has been launched at a store in Worcester.

Called Chapter, at Internacionale in Friary Walk, CrownGate, this exciting new range has just arrived in store – with florals, soft colours and denims very much in this season.

Meanwhile, New Look is getting a new look. Work began at the beginning of this week on the store in Worcester’s CrownGate to give it a brand new make-over, but the store will not be closed until after normal trading hours this Saturday.

It will then re-open on Saturday, February 13, subject to works being completed, with an updated new look, including fresh, eye-catching signage and interior refit.

Store manager James Kemp said: “This is the store’s first refurbishment since it opened in the centre and we are looking forward to its fresh, new look.

“We would like to let customers know that we will be closed for this short time while we undergo our make-over, but will be opening again fully refurbished and raring to go.”
