POOR Ed Miliband reached an all-time low this week after polling revealed him to be the most unpopular leader among his own party's supporters, ever.

But help is at hand in Worcester, with the city's Labour parliamentary candidate Joy Squires signing a letter which appeared on the 'Labour List' website calling for the infighting to end.

Cllr Squires' name has appeared alongside 99 other Labour parliamentary candidates on a letter saying the attacks on Ed are "damaging" for the party and "have to stop".

But ironically enough even Worcester Labour Party, which now appears to be behind the Hampstead socialist, didn't want Ed in the first place.

Back in 2010 the branch threw its backing behind brother David in the leadership contest, saying he had the ability and gravitas to get the gig.

With friends like this eh?

* WORCESTER City have achieved heroics by knocking Coventry out the FA Cup, but what it will do to their chances of a new stadium at Perdiswell is anyone's guess.

One of the biggest Coventry nuts in Worcester is the council's head of planning Paul 'Connor, who as the job suggests is as influential as they get.

Given how incredible the Blue and Whites played, perhaps Paul could use his powers to arrange for Coventry's Ricoh Arena to be dug up with a crane, airlifted over and dumped directly onto Perdiswell?

Coventry don't appear to be too attached to their shiny stadium anyway and it'd save a few bob.

* DANIEL Walton, Labour's parliamentary candidate for West Worcestershire, has been burning a few bridges recently.

The Source has been leaked a hilarious email sent to party members, where he talks of a fall-out with free weekly the Malvern Observer, saying he rang up the editor to"take them on over their bias" and put some "frank" things straight.

He knows Taekwondo and kick boxing, you know!

* THE county council has just re-launched its website, and in doing so put out a press release pledging the use of more "plain language".

On the site it boasts of a 'multi-agency transition toolkit', has a cabinet member for 'transformation and commissioning' and is about to appoint a 'director of commercial'.

Where do we start?
