LOCAL companies are being urged to enter teams in a cross country event to mark 25 years of Midlands Air Ambulance.
Called Rock Pound the Bounds, it will take place near Kidderminster on Sunday, May 1 and cover routes for all abilities – a marathon for the advanced runners, 18 mile, 13 mile (half marathon), nine mile or six mile routes, and a three mile treasure trail for young families.
Michelle McCracken, fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “The Rock Pound the Bounds event is a fantastic team building activity, as well as an opportunity for local businesses to raise funds for our vital service. The routes take walkers and runners across a variety of terrain in Rock, Kidderminster, including golf courses, and provide fantastic views of Clee, Clent, Abberley and Malvern Hills, with various public houses along the route to stop for a refreshment break. This year Rock Pound the Bounds will celebrate 25 years of Midlands Air Ambulance, a vital service which relies entirely on donations from members of the public and local businesses."
