GLOBAL sports brand Under Armour is to be the new supplier of Worcester Warriors' kit from next season.
The Sixways club has signed a three-year partnership with the American leader in performance apparel, footwear and accessories, replacing current kit partner Kooga. The move will see Warriors join an elite selection of brands and individuals to wear Under Armour products, including the Welsh Rugby Union, Top 14 giants Clermont Auvergne, Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, NBA star Steph Curry and golfer Jordan Spieth.
Under the deal, Under Armour becomes the club’s official technical-wear partner, designing and developing training wear and matchday performance apparel for both the first-team and Three Pears Warriors Academy squads.
Warriors chief executive Jim O’Toole said: “We welcome Under Armour to the Warriors commercial family. To attract a brand of this size and calibre shows the progress the club has made since returning to the top-flight last season. This partnership is the first of many we hope to announce in the next few months as we aim to build our partnership portfolio off the field to back-up the excellent work that Dean Ryan and his team are creating on the field.”
