IT'S going to be hot, hot, hot for four members of a Worcester law firm when they take part in a Race the Sun event in mid-summer.

The quartet from HallmarkHulme, collectively known at the Hallmark Hotties, will be cycling 47 miles, hiking eight miles up Pen Y Fan and canoeing 3kms on June 25 to raise funds for Action Medical Research for Children.

Team navigator Rebecca Widdowson said: "Our target is £2,000 but we would love to beat that. As we are a competitive bunch, we are hoping to finish in nine hours. We have obtained kit sponsorship from Richard Lane of EBC Group and Mark Lawson of Lawson Keys Recruitment, so even if we don't make the time we'll look glam trying!

"It’s the first time we’ve taken part in an event as a foursome and we’re striving to beat the all-ladies team record set in 2015 of nine hours and

22 minutes and to do that we’ve all got to finish together. To prepare, we’ll be walking up Pen-Y-Fan in the coming weeks and hope to have

a training session in a couple of canoes. We haven’t had much previous experience of canoeing but as they’re tied together we’re pretty sure none of us will fall in.”

As well as Ms Widdowson, who is the firm's managing partner, the Hotties include employment solicitor Claire Cole, family law solicitor Laura Williams and office administrator Jess Hathaway
