EVER fancied working within earshot of the roar of lions or the call of the wild? Then you don't have to go to the African Bush, just try Bewdley.

Because the West Midland Safari Park has announced a special recruitment day on January 8, to support its annual employment drive for 2017.

A variety of vacancies are available, across a wide range of different departments. No-one but experts tends the wild animals, but there are other jobs in the theme park, retail and admissions, food and beverage, games, venues, learning, facilities and with some wildlife.

The event is being held in Treetops Pavilion and the day will consist of two parts, where candidates will be invited to explore the many opportunities on offer and speak to those who already work at the park.

HR officer Zoe Croton said: “The start of every season is a really exciting time at the Safari Park and we are delighted to be able to re-design our seasonal recruitment for 2017. By introducing a recruitment day it will allow new and returning candidates to explore the many opportunities the park has to offer. It will be set in a relaxed and welcoming environment and we have also called upon the expertise of existing members of the team to support the event, which will give candidates a great insight into the park. We’re hoping it will be great success and look forward to welcoming new members to our team.”
