ACT is a not-for-profit employer-lead Social Care Partnership working across the private, independent, voluntary and statutory sectors to increase opportunities for training and workforce development to support and improve care services. We aim to be a reference point for care sector employers to support them to access training (through our links to training providers), benefit from available funding opportunities, complete the National Minimum Data Set (NMDS) and achieve the national training targets.
ACT is part of a West Midlands partnership which seeks to support local employers in the Public, Health and Social care sectors with their retention and recruitment processes. ACT has a team of professional employment brokers who seek to enable employers to gain access to funding initiatives which support staff training and recruitment enabling more staff to be recruited into the sector. If you are looking for a job or are an organisation looking to recruit and would like to know more about what we can offer please contact us. Since 2008 ACT has developed a very successful Care Ambassadors scheme, where people who already work within the sector, volunteer to talk to groups in schools colleges and at careers fairs. To continue this work it is vital for our sector to raise the image, status and profile and to promote the diverse range of opportunities available to potential recruits. If you already work in Health or Social Care and would like to get involved with the scheme please visit our website to find out more about our projects and events. www.actforfunding.org
