If you have every wanted to groom, stroke or touch a giant grey French lop eared rabbit, then Twycross Zoo is the place to be this Bank Holiday. Come and make friends with Harry and also his friend Guinness the Netherland dwarf rabbit that will be happy to see you. Ask our keepers for tips on how to look after and care for the rabbits whilst you enjoy your visit.
Buttons and Magic, the twelve month old alpacas, can be seen either walking around the Zoo on halters with their keepers or in their enclosure by the Cockatoo restaurant during the day. Here everyone is encouraged to stroke the alpacas and listen to some interesting facts as they chat to their keepers.
Sweet William and Jack our two miniature donkeys stand less than one metre tall, they arrived at the Zoo on 3rd April after their journey from their previous home in North Yorkshire. Miniature donkeys originate from the Mediterranean, their small size means that they can only be kept as pets and not working donkeys. Both Sweet William and Jack will be very pleased to meet all of our visitors and love to be fussed.
