ROSIE the hen is going for a walk. But she'd better watch out – there's a very sneaky fox, hot on her tail feathers!
A funny and timeless classic from celebrated author Pat Hutchins.
REVIEW
Rosie the hen is one lucky chicken. With a fox lurking under the henhouse when she decides to go for a walk, it seems she’s destined to end up as a pile of feathers. But as she makes her way blithely across the farmyard, her sly attacker encounters a series of Tom and Jerry-style accidents - including standing on a rake, plunging into a pond and crashing into a row of beehives - which means she arrives safely back in the coop in time for tea.
This timeless tale, now 40 years old, may look slightly old-fashioned with its woodcut-style illustrations, but is sure to be as much of a hit with today’s children as it has been for previous generations.
The accompanying story CD with sound effects and original music brings it bang up to date.
