FAMILIES in Worcestershire are being urged to have their say on childcare provision in the county.
Worcestershire County Council is responsible for making sure there is sufficient childcare in the county and has a duty to carry out regular childcare sufficiency assessments.
Parents and carers have until Monday, June 14, and childcare providers have until Monday, May 24, to express their views.
Jan Roberts, operational manager for the county council’s early years and childcare service, which is carrying out the assessment, said: “All parents and carers should have access to childcare in order to remain in, or return to, work or education.
“That’s why it’s important as many people as possible take part in this valuable consultation exercise, which we are holding during this year’s national family week campaign.”
Questionnaires are available from children’s centres, childcare providers and schools.
Alternatively, log on to worcestershire.gov.uk/have yoursay. For details on the assessment, visit worcestershire.
