August Bank Holiday Weekend At Drayton Manor Theme Park Mums and Dads looking to entertain the kids over the Bank Holiday weekend should bring them to Drayton Manor Theme Park.
The award-winning theme park, near Tamworth, Staffordshire, boasts a whole range of thrilling rides and attractions for all ages.
You’ll scream with delight as you experience some of the biggest, scariest and wettest rides around, including Maelstrom, the only gyro-swing to make you face outwards; Apocalypse, the world’s first stand-up tower drop and Shockwave, Europe’s only stand-up rollercoaster. Then there’s G-Force, Pandemonium, The Bounty or the amazing white water rapids of Splash Canyon.
For the young and the young at heart, Europe’s first and only Thomas Landä features 12 themed rides based on the hugely popular Thomas & Friendsä series, including Cranky’s Drop Tower, Harold’s Heli Tours and the Troublesome Trucks Runway Coaster.
When it’s time to relax, enjoy some food and a drink in one of Drayton Manor Theme Park’s cafés, restaurants and shops, or take a stroll around the Zoo, which has hundreds of animal species from around the world, including monkeys, big cats, reptiles and birds of prey.
And don’t forget Drayton Manor’s live shows. ‘Crusade to the Lost Temple’ is a 45-minute explosive extravaganza full of speciality acts from around the world and is on daily in the Big Top Theatre. The Cosmic Catz are also performing live at the Drayton Television Theatre, saving the world with their rock ‘n’ roll heroism.
