Diary of a GCSE Student: School trip, homework and I must do revision

12:06pm Tuesday 21st April 2009

Nathan Comber, aged 16 is studying for his GCSEs at Pershore High School.

IT is a difficult time for me, and everybody else in year 11 at the moment.

I am currently working as hard as I can to get all of my homework done, but still have some time for revision before the final exams.

This has been made more difficult for me personally by the lack of time I have had in these Easter holidays.

I went on a school geography trip to Iceland in the first week of the holidays. This was a once-ina- lifetime opportunity and everybody had a quite amazing time; but it obviously meant that I couldn’t get any work done, leaving mountains of the stuff for me at home as soon as I got back!

I have also been trying to organise seeing family and friends in between sporting commitments this holiday so I have had to try to make use of the days when I am not doing much, as rare as these may seem sometimes.

On the plus side, I have all of my coursework finished now, so when we get back to school, lessons will be focused entirely on revision.

I feel that with one final push, I will be fully prepared for the exams in about four weeks’ time.
